just got an update from fairfax county water. here is what i'm being told. they are hoping to get at least one lane in each direction opened on the southbound side of things. so they have a big hole on the northbound lanes. that's where the actual 14-inch pipe broke. they have debris and mud on the southbound side. they're waiting for a backhoe to arrive on the scene. as soon as they can get the mud and debris up the hope they'll be able to open one lane in each direction to help people get through the area. as for those northbound lanes, though that's a big hole in the road. they have to get in some heavy equipment and certainly it's going take hours to repair that. that's going a problem for awhile. if you travel along route 1 this is the fort bell area nearby. it you're familiar with the area the knights of columbus is right here. you'll at least for the next hour or even perhaps longer than that think about an alternate route. >>> the loudoun county sheriff's department are trying to figure out why a man and woman were found dead inside a home. deputies
